Daewoo taps Vixs for Wi-Fi chip

Consumer electronics maker Daewoo announced Thursday at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) conference in Berlin that it will develop wireless home entertainment products using start-up Vixs Systems' chips. The companies will work together on technologies and products for streaming video over 802.11a-based local area networks. The first product is a point-to-point media access device. Daewoo is demonstrating devices at IFA this week.
