Computer Sciences nabs an $8 million outsourcing contract with the U.S. Office of Naval Research.

Computer Sciences (CSC) today nabbed an $8 million outsourcing contract with a research arm of the Navy.

The deal, granted by the U.S. Office of Naval Research (ONR), calls for the services firm to provide engineering support services to the office's Industrial Program based in Arlington, Va.

Under the five-year deal, CSC said its defense group will be responsible for engineering development and assessment, test program development and database design, and maintenance.

CSC said approximately 25 engineers and computer specialists in its College Park, Md.-based defense group will work on the contract.
