CSC names consulting president
Services firm Computer Sciences appoints Kirk Arnold to head its consulting group.
CSC, in business for more than 40 years, said that Arnold would be the company's first female senior executive to head up one of its business units.
Arnold, a 17-year veteran of the information technology market, brings sales, marketing, and management experience to her new post from IBM and from software developer Ontos where she was responsible for global sales and marketing.
In her new role, CSC said Arnold will be responsible for CSC's commercial systems, integration, and management consulting services in North America. She has replaced Jim Saviano, who will oversee the expansion of CSC's global e-business strategy.
El Segundo, California-based CSC's consulting group, which has approximately 4,500 employees and brings in revenue nearing $1 billion, has experienced a compound annual growth rate of about 30 percent in the past three years, the company said in a statement.
Arnold, who has been with the company for five years, was previously vice president of strategic services for CSC's consulting group responsible for management consulting practices, such as strategy development in e-business and information technology, sales and marketing, and supply chain management.
CSC said that Arnold will report directly to the company's chief executive Van Honeycutt.
