Computer Sciences (CSC) today said it has acquired ECS Integrated Technology Solutions, a consulting services company that specializes in Oracle applications.

Portland, Ore.-based ECS, a two-year-old company with $18.5 million in revenues, provides implementation and consulting services for Oracle applications, including customer relationship management software, data warehousing and supply chain management, CSC said in a statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Computer services firm CSC competes in the fast-growing IT consulting and services industry against rivals Plano, Texas-based EDS and services giant IBM Global Services.

In recent months, CSC has been expanding its reach with a host of contract signings. Last month, the firm reported a 23 percent increase in second-quarter profit on new contracts. Since then, the firm has formed an expanded $900 million contract with United Technologies and inked a $644 million computer services contract for the county of San Diego, a closely-watched deal CSC won over rivals IBM Global Services and EDS. Just last week, the company announced a computer services deal with Raytheon for $65 million a year for an undisclosed term.

With today's acquisition, El Segundo, Calif.-based CSC said ECS will expand its Oracle capabilities and its presence in the Northwest. In addition to its Portland headquarters, ECS also has offices in Seattle and Boise, Idaho.

Under the deal, CSC also said ECS will operate as part of its national Oracle and enterprise resource planning practices in the CSC Consulting Group and will lead the expansion of CSC's Oracle services across the West coast.

With a staff of about 80 employees, ECS said its list of clients includes communications giant AT&T Wireless, manufacturer BF Goodrich and online grocer HomeGrocer.com.
