You know you've always wanted to stick a solid-state drive in your computer but just weren't willing to shell out the cash. Well, for this week's giveaway, we've got high-performance 80GB solid-state drive from Intel that works in notebook or desktop computers (anywhere a 2.5-inch hard drive does). It's official name is the Intel 80GB X25M Mainstream SATA II MLC Solid State Drive and it's pretty sweet.

Instead of using spinning platters like traditional hard drives, the X25-M uses flash memory for storage, which Intel says gives you "dramatically faster" data access. If you need more disk space, the X25-M also comes in a 160GB version, but sorry, we're not giving one of those away. Intel only gave us the 80GB version.

Normally, this drive would cost you $180, but we're giving one away gratis. So, how do you try to win it? Let me enumerate the basic rules. Please read them carefully; there will be a test.

  • Leave only one comment. You may enter this specific giveaway only once. If you enter more than one comment, you will be automatically disqualified.
  • The winner will be chosen randomly. The winner will receive (1) Intel 80GB X25M Mainstream SATA II MLC Solid State Drive with a retail value of $180.
