A federal judge has struck down New York state's online indecency law.

U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska ruled that the New York law, which made it a crime to publish indecent material on the Internet, violated the interstate commerce clause of the Constitution, American Civil Liberties Union attorney Ann Beeson told CNET's NEWS.COM.
