Computer Sciences offers notification
Computer Sciences on Monday announced new software products that automate the way banks and card issuers notify customers about account overdrafts, suspicious activity, balances, payment due dates, late payments and credit limits. The El Segundo, Calif.-based information technology company said the products are based on technology developed by Toronto-based 724 Solutions, and provide a low-cost method for alerting customers across multiple communication channels including e-mail, automated voice and text messaging.
"These alerts give customers greater access to time-sensitive information," said David Blanton, president of Banking Solutions for Computer Sciences' Financial Services Group. "By automating the notification process, financial institutions can send tens of thousands of messages an hour, cutting more than 80 percent of the costs associated with traditional channels, such as call centers and branches."
