Compaq diagnoses spot-on

In response to the Aug. 15 column by Peter Skarzynski and Mike Cornell, "Compaq's corporate chutzpah:"

Your article was spot-on. An ex-Alpha customer might very well buy something from IBM instead and get the same IA64-something hardware that Compaq sells--and get backing from a company which "gets" what services is.

Please give the two writers a pat on the back.
