CNET, Ziff-Davis revise content deal

CNET Networks, publisher of News.com, says it has revised its content licensing and publishing contracts with Ziff-Davis. The companies' five-year deal has been revised to end March 1, 2002, after just two years. They will share online rights to content from 11 Ziff magazines for one year. Ziff also will provide production and circulation services for CNET's Computer Shopper magazine for up to two years. The companies said CNET will pay Ziff a termination fee in exchange for elimination of an annual $5 million fee and all royalty obligations.
