Boaty McBoatface won't be the name of a British polar research vessel after all. But there's a compromise to be had, as the Internet's choice of name will live on -- in the form of a remotely operated undersea vehicle. The boat itself will be dubbed the RRS Sir David Attenborough.

On this week's episode of the UK's greatest tech podcast, we're also talking about Samsung's Samsung's baffling high-tech method of getting the kids to bed, Radiohead's latest online capers, and rumours of a much-needed Apple Music makeover.

Vodafone's scrapping roaming fees in 40 European countries, meanwhile, and we have more to say about Dyson's Supersonic hairdryer. Check out the video at the bottom of this page to see CNET's very own Katie Collins put this pricey styling tech to the test.
