February being a short month -- and packed full of new announcements at shows such as Mobile World Congress and PMA -- there weren't many fabulous new products ready to actually review. We don't hand out Editors' Choice awards like sweets, so there was only one piece of tech to take the badge this time around.

Humax HD-FOX T2
In this day and age, innovation in digital TV is a pretty rare thing. Happily, Freeview has opened up a wealth of potential services with its recent upgrade to high definition, and Humax is at the forefront offering the first commercially available Freeview HD box. What impressed us was that despite the newness of the technology, the FOX T2 is a great machine. The picture can be as good as stunning on the two HD channels currently operating on Freeview, and we love the new HD interface that makes the most of modern TVs.

There are a couple of little quirks with this machine, and it's fiendishly expensive, but we utterly adore it, and for people looking for a good source of HD without a subscription, this surely has to be the first port of call.
