CNET Live is really coming....

Tom describes the final preps for the big live call in show coming Thursday April 12 on CNET TV.

We just finished two rehearsals of CNET Live, the new call-in show that premieres Thursday April 12 at 4 p.m. Eastern time. It's weird to rehearse a live show. For instance, Suzy Brannon, one of our product managers, filled in for tomorrow's guest Justin.TV. She wore a baseball cap and had to sit forward in her chair as if she had a backpack on.

Also, Brian and I had to come up with millions of ways to say things without blowing our best stuff in practice.

I think the best part was when we took a call from Neha's mom. She asked about building a gaming machine for her son. It made the rehearsal feel more real to have an Indian woman call in to ask about hot gaming rigs!

We'll be running through things a few more times before tomorrow afternoon, but it's live, folks, so expect the unexpected and send us your questions (list your phone number too!) to Then watch CNET TV tomorrow.

Looking forward to tomorrow.
