CNET giveaway: Sphero BB-8 with the Force Band
The Force is strong with this week's droid giveaway. This sweepstakes ends on November 28.
Star Wars fans know that life on sandy Jakku can be pretty bleak; luckily one reader will receive a special companion to make their adventures more exciting. This week's Jedi-in-training will win a BB-8 App-Enabled Droid by Sphero with the Force Band included.
The BB-8 Droid has a wandering mind of its own and can cruise at a whopping top speed of 4.5 mph. Alternatively, BB-8 can also be controlled with a smartphone, tablet or the Force Band (iOS, Android and Windows compatible). This BB-8 recognizes voices and responds back and can also record and play virtual holographic messages.
The prize also comes with the Force Band, which lets you to control and drive your BB-8 with just the wave of your hand using Bluetooth Smart technology. The Force band also lets you practice your lightsaber and blaster skills using Combat Training, or you can master the force itself using Force Training.
