Hemsworth and Hiddleston visit a children's hospital as Thor and Loki

The "Thor: Ragnarok" actors prove they're superheroes in real life by taking a break from the movie set and making an unexpected visit to an Australian hospital for kids.

For the last few weeks, actors Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston have been posting candid behind-the-scenes photos from the set of "Thor: Ragnarok," giving eager fans a sneak peek of what's to come from their Marvel characters Thor and Loki.

On Tuesday, the actors decided to put their spare time away from the movie set to good use by visiting Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Hemsworth made sure to bring along Thor's magical hammer, Mjolnir.

"Met the real superheroes of the world at @ladycilentochildrenshospital. A huge shout out to all the brave kids who are an inspiration to all of us!" Hemsworth posted on his Instagram account.

On Sunday, Hemsworth tweeted a photo of himself and Hiddleston sitting outside a newsstand on the Australian set. Last week, Hiddleston joined Instagram and posted his first photo of himself dressed as Loki.

"Thor: Ragnarok," directed by Taika Waititi, stars Hemsworth and Hiddleston, as well as Karl Urban, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Jeff Goldblum and Anthony Hopkins. "Thor: Ragnarok" hits theaters in October 2017 in the UK and November 2017 in the US.
