C-3PO thinks 'Episode 7' will be better than 'Empire Strikes Back'

Anthony Daniels, the definitive voice behind the lovable "Star Wars" droid C-3PO, thinks that the forthcoming "Episode 7" could be better than "The Empire Strikes Back."

When it comes to movie sequels, "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" is widely heralded as one of the best of all time. But as good as "The Empire Strikes Back" is, Anthony Daniels, the voice behind the lovable C-3PO humanoid protocol droid, says "Star Wars Episode 7" will likely be even better.

Cue the excitement.

Daniels sent a tweet on Sunday, in which he warned that those who claim that no movie sequel is better than "The Empire Strikes Back" will be eating their words come Christmas 2015, which is around the time when "Episode 7" will be released in theaters worldwide. Even if we don't find it quite as good as "The Empire Strikes Back," we're hopeful that Daniels' tweet indicates it will at least be much better than the prequels.

And seriously, we hope Jar Jar Binks doesn't make a cameo in "Episode 7." Please (please!!) don't do that to us, Disney/LucasFilm. "Star Wars Episode 7" (full title TBA) will be released in theaters in the US, UK and Australia on December 18, 2015. Filming for "Episode 7" wrapped this week, according to Hollywood Reporter.
