Buzz Out Loud 1473: Rapture at the Apple chapel (Podcast)

We all really hope this isn't our last show ever, but if it is, we can apparently join a bunch of other Facebook hoodlum types and go loot the Apple store. Or, as one caller brilliantly renames them, the Apple Chapel. Also, sad news from China's Foxconn Plant, Comcast continues its parade of breathtakingly evil activities, and nothing's wrong with Georgia on Computer Love. --Molly

hey buzzers!

listening to episode 1472 and was SHOCKED by the no more snow days story! THAT IS ME! I’m graduating from the 8th grade next week and have been with the virtual academy for awhile. your mentions of skyping were a bit off though. pratically all of my schooling is on my iMac and I only get a handful of books… they even refund us for our internet just like you mentioned… as well as provide us with computers (although were not allowed to download anything on them, thats why i bought my own)

love the show!

COMPUTER LOVE

VOICEMAIL Update on Computer Love guy with roomate who could not meet girls

Dear Buzz Crew,

I have a lifetime subscription to Startrek Online, and have recently joined a fleet. Someone higher up in the fleet seems to have taken an interest in me. Although it may seem like we’re just friends, we talk on skype and play together on an almost daily basis. I want to ask them to come visit, but they live in LA, and I’m stuck in the most tech backward state next to Iowa, Georgia. Any words of advise?

Thanks buzzers,

Hello Buzz Crew! A while back, I asked your advice about a situation with a woman at my job who sent me very suggestive texts. I didn’t know how to respond because it was a sensitive situation and I didn’t want embarrass myself. Well, I took Brian and Molly’s advice and took a chance by asking the woman out. We had been dating for a couple of months. Everything was awesome and intense. We did a lot of sharing (wink, wink). But like all good things, the relationship came to an end. She had become increasingly “”stalkerish”" in regards to my online activities. It had gotten so bad that I had no other choice but to end the relationship. We are on good terms now, but I do have one remaining issue. During our “”sharing days”" I have accumulated a sizable collection of videos and pictures of her that are of a compromising nature. I was wondering if it was bad form to keep these pictures and videos or should I discard them? I wouldn’t share them with anyone else, but it would be a nice reminder of the time we spent together. What do you think? Thanks in advance, love your show.

Dwayne from Chicago.

So, this “friend” of mine has been slowly getting to know someone, and she’s wondering how soon you should try to Facebook friend a new guy. Thanks! –ANONYMOUS
