Ah, summer. Beaches, bike rides, pools, patios. Convertibles and canoes. Sunshine and serenity.

And don't forget the music. The only thing better than outdoor fun is outdoor fun with a soundtrack, which is why I love today's deal.

For a limited time, you can buy an Outdoor Tech Buckshot rugged Bluetooth speaker for $29.95 and get a second one free! And that price includes shipping. Just apply code cnetbuckshot at checkout. Yessir, this is another amazing Cheapskate exclusive, my friends.

The Buckshot looks pretty snazzy in red.

Outdoor Tech

Point of interest: The Buckshot originally had an MSRP of $49.95 (for one, natch), and currently sells on Amazon for anywhere from $25.95 to $47.99, depending on color. (No idea why there's such a discrepancy, but, again, those prices are for one speaker.)

Here, add any two Buckshots to your cart (they can be the same color or different ones) and the coupon code should be applied automatically. Bam, you're out the door with two for $29.95.

The Buckshot is a cylindrical little speaker with a rubber casing designed to withstand not only shock and dust, but also the inevitable splashes from the hose, pool, canoe paddle and the like. It's not waterproof, mind you, but it is water-resistant.

It's also a speakerphone, so if you get a call while, say, riding your bike, you can take it. Speaking of which, the speaker comes with a stretchy rubber handlebar mount (which could also be used with, say, a tree branch or cooler handle).

Cooler still, Outdoor Tech says the Buckshot can play for 16 hours on a charge. That's impressive for any portable speaker.

CNET hasn't reviewed the speaker, nor have I. But some 250 Amazon customers collectively rated it 4 stars out of 5 -- very solid, but I do recommend perusing the actual reviews to see if any red flags jump out.

Given its compact size, this would also be a great speaker for travel. And with the BOGO deal, you can keep one at home and the other in your carry-on. Not too shabby!

Bonus deal: Calling all car owners! Ever notice how there's never a charging cable around when you need one -- like in the car? Problem solved: For a limited time, and while supplies last, you can get the Inateck two-port USB car charger with built-in Lightning cable for $8.99. That's after applying coupon code EOZHG5IT at checkout. Available in your choice of black or white, the charger features not only the aforementioned Apple-friendly cable, but also a separate Micro-USB cord for all your non-Apple charging needs. I covered this about a year ago; the price then (after discount) was $16.99!

Bonus deal No. 2: I keep thinking 24-inch monitors can't possibly get any cheaper, and then I see this: For a limited time, and while supplies last (not long, I'm guessing), Best Buy has the AOC E2429SWHE 24-inch LED monitor for $79.99 shipped (plus tax). It features VGA and HDMI inputs, built-in speakers and a three-year warranty. That's the best deal I've seen on a monitor of this size. Ever.
