Buy a movie for Mom on Mother's Day for as little as $8

Today is  Mother's Day , so I hope you've called you mom already and, if possible, you're planning a visit later in the day. One time-honored Mom's Day tradition is to relax on the sofa and let her choose a movie. Mother's Day isn't the right time for yet another viewing of Die Hard (that's for Christmas). Instead, Fandango Now has assembled a list of the top 10 movies about motherhood that moms want to watch with their family this weekend.

There aren't a ton of surprises in this list -- after all, moms don't typically want to watch The Matrix on Mother's Day (though truth be told, I was surprised to see Maleficent show up in this list). This is a pretty cheap night with Mom, since you can rent these films for as little as $3 (for the SD version -- HD and 4K rentals cost a little more). And a few of these films are on sale, so you can purchase them to own for $8, down from $14 or more.
