<b>RAM Doubler 2.0.2 update: a possible conflict with Netscape (and other bug reports)

Several readers have all claimed the same problem after updating from RAM Doubler 2.0.1 to 2.0.2: An increased frequency of system crashes when using Netscape Communicator or Navigator. Returning to RAM Doubler 2.0.1 eliminated the crashes.

Two lone bug reports (which remain to be confirmed) for RAM Doubler 2.0.2: Garth Magee claims that RAM Doubler still leads to crashes on the receiving machine when transferring large numbers of files over a network. Michiel Houtman claims that background printing with ClarisWorks no longer worked (running Mac OS 7.6.1 on his Power Mac 8500) - although I had no such problem when I tried printing.

Finally, here is some good news: Ronald Leroux writes that the RAM Doubler 2.0.2 update does indeed fix some performance problems with Netscape Navigator (at least with version 3.0.1): "It used to take at least 10 seconds for Navigator to quit. Now (with the RAM Doubler update) it takes about 2 seconds."
