Blue Martini Software said Tuesday that it reached an agreement to sell customer relationship software to Sprint PCS. Sprint bought Blue Martini's marketing, channel, commerce and services software at the end of last year to use on SprintPCS.com, but it has only used the marketing and commerce software so far.
The marketing software will help Sprint analyze customers' online behavior and build profiles of customers who make e-commerce transactions, which will help the carrier to get a better idea of how to target its services. The commerce software helps manage and execute e-commerce transactions with businesses or consumers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed and Sprint did not say when it plans to use the channel and service software.
