If you're looking to drop some major bucks on the latest and greatest for your home theater, then an HD-DVD or Blu-ray Media Center PC is probably on your summertime shopping list. Of course, no Blu-ray systems are actually on the market yet, but we're pleased to inform you that someone other than Sony is stepping up with plans for one.

Hong Kong manufacturer Amex is combining hot features, such as Blu-ray, HDMI, and S/PDIF outputs; 1TB of storage; and Intel's Viiv designation, in its upcoming MPC-505 system. As per usual with announcements like this, price, release date, and availability in the United States are all up in the air, kind of like Blu-ray itself.
