Blizzard trolls Overwatch trolls with new patch

Typing "GG EZ", or "good game, easy", will soon no longer be the parting shot on a losing team on Blizzard's team-based shooter.

Blizzard

Blizzard on Wednesday released a new Overwatch patch to its Public Test Realm, where players trial new changes before it gets pushed to the entire playerbase, and it's having fun messing with trolls.

If you're one of the 15 million people who've played the team-based shooter, you've probably come across someone from the other team messaging "GG EZ", short for "good game, easy", following a loss.

Blizzard evidently isn't too fond of this condescension, programming "GG EZ" to automatically change into embarrassing lines like "I feel very, very small...please hold me" and "Mommy says people my age shouldn't suck their thumbs." You can see the change in action here.

The patch also includes character changes to the likes of Genji and Mercy. You can find the patch notes at Gamespot. It comes after yesterday's news, announced at Gamescom, of a new map based in Germany coming to the game.
