Research In Motion and T-Mobile International announced Wednesday that they will introduce a BlackBerry offer for consumers and small companies in European markets in the second quarter. The companies will initially make the BlackBerry e-mail service and latest devices available in Germany, the United Kingdom and Austria, and other European markets that have access to T-Mobile's Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM)/General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) networks to follow.
The offer is aimed at individual buyers, as opposed to RIM's corporate customers, who want to access to their POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail accounts. The companies said further details would be available at launch.
