Bizarre police sketch sends internet back to the drawing board

The release of a peculiar drawing of a Pennsylvania food-mart robber turns into a big hairy deal on social media.

Crime is nothing to laugh at, and we sincerely hope the police of Cumru Township in Berks County, Pennsylvania, catch the man who robbed a local food mart on Monday.

That said, we're unsure this provided sketch is going to help.

A white male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt pulled a knife and robbed the store before fleeing on foot, Philadelphia's Fox 29 reported. While escaping, he removed his sweatshirt to reveal a black T-shirt with three smiley faces on it, a distinctive clothing detail to be sure.

But the sketch released could be a man, could be a woman, could be that the illustrator accidentally mixed up his or her work with something a child doodled on his math folder.

When Fox 29 tweeted out the sketch, Twitter users immediately went back to the drawing board and began coming up with lookalike suspects.

Is it "Con Air"-era Nicolas Cage?

Is it Bob from "Twin Peaks"?

Is it Jeff Spicoli from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"?

Is it the Pokemon named Jynx?

Is it Greta the Gremlin?

Is it the Beast from "Beauty and the Beast"?

Is it David St. Hubbins from "Spinal Tap"?

Is it Regan from "The Exorcist"?

Is it David Spade?

And quite a few Twitter users believed they were seeing the resurrection of Potato Jesus.

But one Twitter user made a good point:
