Benedict Cumberbatch makes magic with water
Cumberbatch can act, sing and now do impressive magic tricks to remind us all to appreciate and conserve water.
Actor Benedict Cumberbatch will show off his magical powers as the Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel's "Doctor Strange" next month. But until then, we'll have to settle for this magic trick.
In a new video, Cumberbatch defies gravity to prevent water from spilling out of a bottle as he turns it upside down, all while talking about the virtues conserving of water.
"We really need to take care that we don't waste our resources," Cumberbatch said in the YouTube video posted Monday by Vanity Fair. "Don't waste water. Turn that tap off while you're brushing your teeth. And drink lots of it."
Cumberbatch learned the trick from his magician friend Kevin James.
Currently, the actor graces the cover of the new issue of Vanity Fair, in which he gave a candid interview about what it feels like to be considered the "internet's boyfriend," his experience playing geeky roles, and what it felt like running into "Sherlock" fans in the middle of Kathmandu while filming "Doctor Strange."
"Doctor Strange" opens October 27 in Australia, October 28 in the UK and November 4 in the US.
