Following the success of Belkin's USB 2.0 File Transfer Cable, the company has released a new version designed especially for Windows Vista.
Perfect for users wanting to upgrade and backup their PCs, the Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista offers a longer cable (up from 1.8 m to 2.4 m) and speeds up to 480Mb/s.
The Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista requires at least one PC to have Windows Vista to work, but the other PC can also be Windows XP/2000-based. Unfortunately there is no support for Apple Macintosh.
Unlike the original Easy Transfer Cable which was plug and play, if you're not running Windows Vista you'll require the drivers included on CD. The cable connects to your computers' USB ports and the Windows Transfer Wizard automatically appears on the Vista PC, which lets you drag and drop files.
The Easy Transfer Cable is handy for users who want to swap files between computers but don't have a network installed. However, for convenience we still think the USB 2.0 File Transfer Cable is better. The Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista is available for an RRP of AU$99.95.
