Beer and self-driving trucks: A match made in Twitter heaven

Social Cues: Seriously, the only way social media would love this more is if it were delivering puppies.

Of course the first job for a self-driving truck was to deliver beer.

Self-driving vehicles are pretty exciting on social media, especially when they're delivering a truckload of beer.

Facebook and Twitter were buzzed about new technology on Wednesday morning, after an autonomous truck traveled more than 100 miles in Colorado with brews on board. Can you imagine if it were full of pumpkin-spiced lattes?

Social Cues is your road map for what's trending among your friends and followers. Here's what people are talking about on social media this Wednesday:

Anheuser-Busch: Of course, the first time a self-driving vehicle is used to do a delivery, it's for beer. This is America, you know. The St. Louis-based beer company teamed up with self-driving truck provider Otto and covered more than 120 miles on Interstate 25. A driver was in the vehicle the entire time to monitor the truck but did not need to intervene, the company said. On Facebook, some are excited about innovative ways to get their beer. Others are concerned about what this delivery means for truck drivers.

Megyn Kelly: Those sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump are at least partly the fault of Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, according to former House speaker Newt Gingrich. A clip of the former Speaker of the House ranting at Kelly on Tuesday is making waves on social media, as he accused her of being "fascinated with sex." Gingrich launched into his rant after Kelly asked if Trump is a sexual predator.

National Pumpkin Day: It's great pumpkin day, Charlie Brown! Social media is celebrating pumpkins of all kinds: jack-o'-lanterns, Smashing Pumpkins, pumpkin spiced lattes, and of course, the dancing pumpkin weatherman meme. Keep on dancing, lil' gourd. Keep on dancing.

Mercedes-Benz: The luxury car line is looking to make trucks hip. Mercedes-Benz revealed two concept X-Class pickup trucks: the Powerful Adventurer and the Stylish Explorer. Their names are pretty self-explanatory, but here's our more in-depth guide on what they'll be. More than 400,000 people were talking about the Merecedes-Benz trucks on Facebook, commenting on the shiny new vehicles and hoping to ride in style.

Ciara: The star announced in an Instagram post Wednesday morning that she's pregnant. Somehow, there was outrage on Twitter that she's having a child with her husband, Russell Wilson. Go figure! Luckily for Ciara, she has more fans than trolls on social media.
