BEA revs Weblogic server

BEA Systems next week will release an updated version of its high-end Weblogic application server, featuring Java support and improved speed. The WebLogic Enterprise version 4.2 has a new transaction engine that runs both Java and C++. In the past, users who wanted to use multiple languages had to use two different object request brokers--one for each language. Later this year, the company will add support for Java 2 Enterprise Edition. Pricing for version 4.2 is $475 for each concurrent user.
