Few feet are as famous as the one that stomps from the sky in the opening credits of "Monty Python's Flying Circus." A free online game dubbed Holy Stomping turns that foot into the lead character, letting you smoosh characters that would be right at home in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."
The action starts slow enough. You click on the screen to control where the foot lands, aiming for the medieval maidens strolling along the bottom, with bonus points for taking out a knight. As the rounds go by, the action ramps up, and hazards like unstompable angels and archers shooting arrows appear.
Pretty much the whole game is based on absurdity, which should be right in line for any Monty Python fan. It's all about timing and aiming your stomps to avoid the dangerous obstacles while squishing your targets as the scene grows increasingly chaotic. I have yet to get past the fifth round, but I'm getting better.
A word to the wise if you plan to play this game at work, or within earshot of anyone you are trying to impress: you might want to turn down the volume or risk spraying the audio realm with rude bodily noises. If you don't care, then crank up the volume and revel in the classic Python sound effects, or I shall taunt you a second time. Pfffft.
