CollabNet, a Brisbane, Calif., start-up that sells software to enable programmers at different locations to collaborate on projects, has sold its services to Barclays Global Investors, the company said Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
CollabNet's SourceCast software had its roots in helping open-source programming--cooperative, public projects--but the company expanded to include private efforts too. CollabNet competes with VA Software.
