AvantGo turns ignition on paid service

AvantGo, whose software gives handheld owners access to their favorite Web sites, is introducing a paid service that increases the number of sites that customers can download. The new $20-a-year paid service increases the storage limit from 2MB to 8MB. The 2MB option will remain free.

For a limited time, AvantGo says it will offer the paid service for $15 a year.
