AT&T to Sell Intel PCs

CNET News staff
AT&T's Global Information Solution (GIS) computer unit has selected Intel as its main supplier of PCs. The financial arrangements have not been disclosed, but the deal is expected to take off early next year, according to AT&T.

The PCs will be available in desktop and minitower configurations, and will support various Intel Pentium processors. They will also be compatible with current GIS PC systems.

Analysts say this could be a move on Intel's part to become a dominant PC provider. Intel currently provides PCs for Toshiba and Hewlett-Packard.
