AST takes its turn at Web servers

AST will turn its Manhattan business server into a Web server at PC Expo.

AST Computer will turn its Manhattan Pentium Pro server business into Internet turnkey designs when it announces the Manhattan Commerce Pro at the PC Expo trade show next week in New York.

Built around Intel's 200-MHz Pentium Pro processor, the Manhattan Commerce Pro will include the hardware and software needed for users to set up the server for Internet and intranet applications, the company said.

The server will come with Post.Office email software from Software.com and Web server electronic commerce software from Internet Factory.

The Commerce Pro will be priced at $8,650.
