ASPs Agilera, Applicast complete merger
Agilera, an ASP (application service provider) that offers technology for IT and e-business companies, is expected to announce Monday that it has completed its merger with Applicast, another ASP, in a stock deal. The new company, which will operate under the Agilera name, hosts software applications from companies such as Siebel Systems, SAP, Ariba, Oracle and Peoplesoft. Application service providers host software and services for a fee so customers do not have to install and run applications themselves.
