ASCII Group supports HP-Compaq union

The ASCII Group, which represents value-added resellers (VAR) and integrators, announced on Friday its support for the contentious, pending Hewlett-Packard and Compaq Computer mega-merger. The group noted the combined company would create a "VAR force in the small- and medium-sized business sector that is second to none."
