Apple slashes prices on popular iTunes movie bundles

Buyers can save big bucks on classic sequel films, such as "The Godfather," "Spider-Man," and "Harry Potter."

Apple is trying to make you an offer you can't refuse.

Movie buffs now can add such hot film series as "The Godfather," "Star Trek," and "Back to the Future" to their iTunes collections at heavily discounted prices. The bundles run from $9.99 to $59.99, with some available at standard definition and many in high definition.

The first three Spider-Man films are spinning at $19.99. The "Die Hard" collection will make you shout "yippie kay yay" at a price of $39.99. All 10 "Star Trek" films go where no series has gone before at a cost of $49.99. And HD versions of all eight Harry Potter films are selling for $59.99, a magical drop from the usual price of $125.92.

Other bundles up for sale include "The Lord of the Rings," "Lethal Weapon," "Austin Powers," and the "X-Men."
