Apple Computer on Tuesday released a security patch for Mac OS X version 10.3, or Panther. The company said that Security Update 2003-11-04 "addresses a potential vulnerability with the Terminal application in Mac OS X v10.3 and Mac OS X Server v10.3 that could allow unauthorized access to a system."
Panther itself fixes several vulnerabilities that were found in earlier versions of Mac OS X. The company has pledged to patch the holes in older versions of Mac OS X, but has not yet done so.
