Apple releases Java Update 1.4.2

Apple has released Java Update 1.4.2, which according to its documentation "includes enhancements to drawing performance and stability for both Java applications and Java applets. Note : This installer will replace your current installation of Java 1.4.1."

As implied, the new release includes Java 2, Standard Edition, version 1.4.2.

The 28 MB standalone download is available from Apple's servers.
