Apple Pro Mouse cable issue?

Apple Pro Mouse cable issue?

CNET staff

Over the past couple of weeks we've been covering an issue with the 65W PowerBook/iBook AC adapter where the cable entry area appears to weaken over time, leading to problems. MacFixIt reader Randy Smith discusses a similar issue with his Apple Pro Mouse:

"I have an Apple Pro Mouse that came with my eMac, which was purchased a little over a year ago, and I had to replace it due to cord wear. The cord that comes out of the mouse is not reenforced and is subject to bending and straining."

Randy's mouse was covered under AppleCare, and he received a new one the day after he called Apple about the problem.
