Apple offers new server

Apple Computer on Friday introduced a new version of its Mac OS X-based server. The machine, which now runs at 733 MHz, is similar to the 733MHz Power Mac but has double the system and cache memory of the desktop version. The $2,799 machine also includes the Apache Web-serving program and WebObjects' Apple's Java-based application server. For now, the new machine will be the only server that Apple sells, a company representative said.
