Apple hires VP of developers

Apple Computer on Monday named Ron Okamoto, a former Macromedia and Adobe Systems executive, as its new vice president of developer relations. In his new job, Okamoto will report to Apple CEO Steve Jobs and will serve as liaison to Apple's developers, including his two former employers. Okamoto, who most recently was vice president of product management and marketing for Adobe, replaces Clent Richardson, who left Apple in March. Richardson became chief operating officer at One 2 One, a wireless company in England.
