Apple exec to give Macworld keynote

IDG World Expo announced that Apple vice president Greg Joswiak will deliver the keynote speech at this year's scaled-back Macworld Expo. Joswiak, Apple's vice president of hardware marketing, will speak on Wednesday, July 16, at 9:30 a.m. at the event, which is now being called Macworld CreativePro and is aimed at workers in the design, publishing and music industries.

Other speakers announced so far are: Norm Meyrowitz, president of Macromedia products; Jurgen Kurz, vice president of product management for graphics software maker Quark; and artist Peter Max. The show runs July 14-18 in New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
