Apple beefs up security for OS X

Apple Computer released a security update to its Mac OS X operating system on Monday. Among the several changes in Security Update 2004-01-26 are revamps of Apple's e-mail program, of its Safari Web browser, of Apache Web server software and of Windows file-sharing. The update was made available via the Mac OS automated "software update" feature.
