App of the Day: TED

The TED app has finally been made available for Android, so it was clearly time to revisit something we love.

Welcome to CNET Australia's App of the Day, where you can see some of the coolest, silliest and most useful apps in action.

TED (which stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design) is a series of conferences and talks by all kinds of experts, all around the world, comedians, doctors, designers, film-makers, scientists, writers, inventors — you name it. The app is brilliant; you can stream the talks directly to your phone, or download them in one of three different formats — that is, HD video, regular video or just audio — for when you're low on data and want something stimulating to listen to on the train.
