A few weeks ago, we were all over Hitlantis. It wasn't very comprehensive, but it was just so gosh-darned pretty, and it had multi-platform support. Discovr Music has been around a bit longer. It's not quite as pretty and is only available for iOS, but by golly does it have a good database of music. It recognised every artist we could throw at it, and then offered suggestions for similar music, which you can view by tapping on the band's bubble. As you continue tapping on bands, you can grow an entire tree of music suggestions — you can even listen to samples, view YouTube clips, band info and tweets, and even go to the iTunes link by double-tapping the bubble. It's really intuitive and will eat up all your spare time.
