Android activations hit 1.3M per day, says Google's Schmidt

Google and Motorola are tossing out some big numbers at a Motorola press event in New York.

At Motorola's press event going on in New York today, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt rattled off some impressive statistics, including:

  • 1.3 million activations per day on Android,
  • 70,000 activations on tablets, and
  • 480 million Android users for total base.
