There's something about the games of your childhood. They're always going to be the games that most feel like home; the ones you turn to for comfort. If those games are an NES library, though, it's entirely possible you just don't have a viable way to play them any more.

Analogue Interactive is a company that is looking to change all that, with its range of gorgeous, rebuilt wood-cased Neo Geo MVS systems, the CMVS Slim. Today, the company has announced a new addition to its lineup: the Analogue Nt.

Inside the stunning case — precision machined out of a single block aircraft-grade aluminium — beats the heart of the Nintendo Entertainment System, fully re-engineered by the team based on the original hardware (unlike other NES clones on the market, which are often unreliable). It plays both NES and Famicom games, allows connection of four controllers, and — maybe best of all — is perfectly compatible with modern TVs, as well as CRTs and computer monitors, delivering the best audio-visual experience possible.

"The Analogue Nt sets a precedent. It opens a door to the highest quality way to experience the NES and Famicom," Analogue Interactive wrote. "With a library of nearly 2000 titles, the NES and Famicom are home to some of the most significant games ever created. A rich and diverse history is waiting to be explored. We created the Analogue Nt to experience this pivotal part of gaming history with the quality and justice it deserves."

Pricing and availability are yet to be announced, but it's a gorgeous piece of kit, so you'll want to save your shekels — to give you an idea of what to expect, the CMVS comes in at US$649. Watch this space on the Analogue Interactive website for details on how to get one for your very own.
