Amazon's very big Prime Day (The 3:59, Ep. 77)

The e-retailer says it pulled off its biggest day of sales ever. Plus, we talk about Firefox and "Planet of the Apps."

Despite a few hiccups and an early report that suggested Amazon's Prime Day may be a dud, the online retailer reported that this year's sale ended up being its biggest sales day ever. Following its second year, Prime Day now looks to have solidified its place as a regular sales holiday, albeit one Amazon made up.

We also discuss Firefox's effort to bring back users. Plus, Apple and Will.i.am are putting together a reality show involving developers, called "Planet of the Apps." Sure, that could work.
