Amazing Jurassic Park Lego set hopes Lego will find a way

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jurassic Park, we could see this fantastic fan-built Lego set become an official product.

Hold onto your butts: to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jurassic Park, we could see this fantastic dino-tastic Lego set become a reality.

The proposed set recreates a classic scene from Stephen Spielberg's 1993 film, and could follow the fan-designed Lego DeLorean Back to the Future set.

The playset includes models of the towering gates of dino-themed wonderland Jurassic Park, an escaped T-Rex dinosaur, and a self-driving Ford Explorer tour vehicle. The minifigs represent the film's heroes Dr Alan Grant, Dr Ellie Sattler and Dr Ian Malcolm.

That's right: we could see a Lego version of Jeff Goldblum.

Sadly this isn't an official offering yet, but a 3D design for a potential set envisaged by Sami Mustonen, a fan of both the film and of Lego. Fans can submit designs to Lego's Cuusoo project, and if enough people get excited about it they could become a reality. Of course, we're all so busy thinking about whether or not we could that we didn't stop to think if we should…

You can vote for the Jurassic Park set on Cuusoo here, and if 10,000 people pledge support, Lego will consider making it an official set. Fingers crossed Lego will find a way.

Which scenes from Jurassic Park would you like to see recreated in brick form? What other classic films should get the Lego treatment? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our spared-no-expense Facebook page. Clever girl...
