AltaVista pulls plug on free Net access
The Web portal says it will end the service Dec. 10 because the company that provided it, 1stUp.com, is going out of business.

ZapMe zaps free PCs, Net access for schools
The company, which gave schools free computers and Net access, tells 2,300 schools nationwide that they must either give back the equipment or start paying for it.

Kozmo the latest to tack on delivery charge
The online convenience store begins charging delivery fees, going back on an earlier promise by its former CEO that it would never do so.
